What more can I say about Yolanda...she is not a new comer to the music industry but her new CD is a new revolution in Gospel music. When I attended the Seattle Gospel Announcer's Guild Conference in May I was blown away by her talent.
She knows music and knows the ministry and most of all she knows the flow of God. She got up there and made a 80 year old hymn sound like a new 2 week old song. Her vocal ability was unreal and her style of music really blessed not only me but the entire audience in the house.

Yolanda Knights is the eldest of three children born to the blessed union of Pastor Oliver E. and Evangelist Barbara Hearn in Altadena, California (a small suburb of Pasadena).
Yolanda knew music at a very early age. Listening repeatedly to the sounds of her idols; The Clark Sisters, Shirley Ceasar and Aretha Franklin, her talent grew to a passion. After demonstrating that she possessed the gift of song, her parents took the next step to see that their daughter's ministry reached it's full potential. Under the guidance of her vocal teacher, Gwen Gervin, Yolanda's voice grew into a polished instrument.
Having sung in church almost her entire life and helming as the minister of music for Lincoln Avenue Church of God In Christ, she is no stranger to ministering God's word through song.
Her music ministry has placed her with the likes of many gospel greats. In 1986, Yolanda performed a duet on a release with Dr. Mattie Moss Clark and the Southern California Workshop Choir entitled, "It's More Than a Feeling". She recently performed a duet with Pastor Shirley Ceasar, she has opened up for Ms. Dorinda Clark Cole not to mention performing with other top gospel artist. One of her most cherished moments is a brief performance in front of Gospel Legend, Walter Hawkins and some members of the Love Center Fellowship Choir. She is known all over Southern California where she is the State Youth Chairlady for the Southern California Evangelist Jurisdiction of the Church of God In Christ.
With unparalleled voice-control and vocal melting pot of her idols, she brings a new sound to gospel music with the Message From Heaven and God, in His infinite wisdom, has allowed for His word to be released in song from the mouth of this chosen vessel. None other than Ms. Yolanda Knights.

Ms Yolanda! First let me say 'thank you' for sharing your God given gift with the people of ChiTown. You were absolutely AWESOME! I do apologize for not being able to provide the superior service and attention you so rightly deserve, but the night of the service CHAOS was on every hand. Then the next day in the midst of 5 worship services, my adjutant fell ill and had a extreme attack which took up the rest of my day and the next one also. But please know that you and Dawnyetta were definitely appreciated and a great blessing! Please keep in touch, I wish to feature you the CORRECT way and compensate you for your effort.
