About me:
Yomi , Started scribing in his Year 5 , when he was given a story assignment and has not looked back since.
By age 11 he had written several short stories, one very similar in premise and story to what later became Cody Banks, and his pre teen take on Star Trek, bore striking similarities to the 2003 Star Trek :Insurrection.
He had a two year stint at poetry , and ghost wrote for the hook ups and make ups of several campus relationships in his college days.
He's now into screen-writing and film making. He has the dream, of the day when movies made by his kinsmen compete at the international box office. He is known to say "The Brazilians ,Mexicans and South Africans have proved that it is possible".
Yomi was a staff writer on the documentary style TV series "The Station" ,shown on Nigeria's NTA and AIT, and also worked on Mnet's "Edge of Paradise" created by Femi Kayode.
His play "Battle-zone of the Mind" was shortlisted in the Awesome Poetry and Drama Contest 2006 and his first feature "Days of our youth" was a top finalist in the Pan African Screen Writer's Award 2007 contest.
He worked on a short student documentary titled Parkour:Rise of the Urban Ninja which he wrote and produced along with Cameraman Tiago Giao and Editor/ SPX supervisor Yan "The Man" Feng. He looks forward to future projects and much greater things as he continues working on ideas and reforming them. Kevin Smith with Clerks, Robert Rodriquez with El Mariachi and the team behind The Blair Witch Project, have proven that you do not need the backing of a major studio to make a hit movie.
