For our last party of the year we have lined up THE hottest underground DJ/Producer from these fair shores.
On the back of sets at this years Glastonbury, The Big Chill, Bestival and Giles Petersons' Worldwide Awards, Red Rack'em is one of the most in demand names around.
Under his different guises Rack'em makes cutting edge Detroit 2 Step as Marlinspike, Wonky Disco and Cosmic Boogie as Hot Coins plus Beatdown House and Glitchy Hip Hop as Red Rack'em. Support from Rack'em comes from the likes of Giles Peterson, Carl Craig, The Unabombers, Todd Terje, Domu and Greg Wilson, and his DJ Sets are very, very special.
Warming up proceedings as always will be HELLO my name is... residents Stu Clark (Wolf Music), Ryan Lane and Ian Martin.
This is one party not to be missed.
It’s taken a while but we’ve finally got hold of the latest HELLO my name is… podcast for your ears. Purpose B’s pulled out all the stops and put this mix together with the use of one arm following some hefty shoulder surgery - mainly because we’ve been bugging him for weeks. The good news is he’s pulled off a right treat, the bad news is we don’t know the long term damage to his mixing arm. Here’s some more info about the man:
The beat addiction began early for Purpose B (real name Matt Rudd). First inspired by early funk and golden era hip hop, Purps now joins the dots between dubstep, disco and drum and bass. Always striving to create a good-time dancefloor feeling, Purpose B has held a number of residencies in London (Mother Bar/Big Chill House), Bournemouth (60 Million Postcards/Consortium) and Southampton (Soul Cellar/Orange Rooms/Cricketers) and has played alongside everyone from Fabio to DJ Format, Scratch Perverts to DJ Spinna and Qbert to Ohmega Watts. Now back in Motherland Manchester to spread freedom vibes, rain or shine.

HEADS DOWN with HELLO my name is... Sunday 3rd May
A huge thanks to all that joined us at Heads Down last Sunday, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and by the looks of the pics you lot did too. It was another great turnout and HMNI with a great ground of people, particularly the group of Germans dressed up as devils! Props to Hammy for the downstairs vibe which worked really well too. Be sure, there will be more Heads Down parties in the future.
Also, for those that haven't yet noticed, our podcast has been getting busy over the last few weeks with not only a live recording from HELLO my name is... Kelvin Brown but also a top quality guest mix from Fiedel Cat Rat, A.K.A. Jonny B.
"Larry and I would blow up balloons, set up the food bar, prepare the punch, and give out acid, but we also spent a lot of time in the DJ booth, watching Nicky's every move. He pretty much taught us what he was doing". says Frankie Knuckles We're doing another Love Fever Party on November 7th... This time we've got NYC Legend Nicky Siano over for a proper disco session. We'll be putting our usual Love Fever attention to detail into the sound system, decor, staff, artwork, balloons, roller girls, projections, etc. And music wise we're got a Funktion One system and two rooms of underground disco new and old. Expect a night of disco fuelled Love Fever debauchery. www.lovefever.org for tickets and info ..
