About me: We are wanting to put together a CD and download compilation with proceeds going to Yorkhill Childrens Hospital in Glasgow, Scotland.
We want to make as much cash as possible for the hospital and so will be really pushing this and have a number of unusual marketing plans. All bands who contribute will get fullsome praise, a short bio with web address on the CD booklet and a warm glow of satisfaction from their involvement.
Why do we want to do this? Simple, my daughter, Tallie Belle [named after my two favourite Go- Betweens albums!] fell gravely ill with heart conditions at 10 months old and but for the exceptional care she received at Yorkhill, she would not have made the three years she is now. Now that she is well on road to recovery, it seems time to give something back. We will also be planning to organise gigs in Glasgow and London to coincide with the release.
For the avoidance of doubt we have no involvement with the charity but have made them aware of plans and will have certification that all funds will go to the charity concerned.
About the charity : Yorkhill Children's Foundation
Yorkhill Children's Foundation aims to support the work of the Yorkhill NHS
Trust and provides funding for extra medical equipment, improvements in
child and family facilities and the provision of extra services which make a
stay in hospital less distressing for children and their families.
