My interest are my dogs, they are working Therapy dogs and they love what they do, They do nursing home visits and fashion shows for residents, they have a very special fondness and love for their friends in the Alzheimer's units.
And we like to sew, Yes! I said we because Tyche and Baby Zoe are right up on the sewing table directing every cut and stitch, Tyche and Zoe have their own small business called "Sophie Kathryn's Exclusive Designs For The Sophisticated dog".
These designs are one of a kind they never make two dress a-like.
God forbid you should see and other dog with the same dress on at a dogie party...
And we love spending time with my grandchildren, Cicily and Sophie.

This is a story about Camp Mend-A-Heart a bereavement camp for children and Pet therapy dogs who serve their needs.
Good morning Chatters...
Well, let me tell you one thing chatters, York's Yorkshire Terrier are city
Dogs for sure! You know that old song, (give me park avenue, the stores the
furs, so on and so on! Well, this sure describes the York's Yorkshire
Terriers, (((((((they are not campers.)))))))))
Hey! wait... just one dog gone minute, MOM... Chatters, I am going to tell
You my side of the story before my mom can exaggerate the events.
(Its me! you know...Tyche, And actually, I'm the worlds greatest dog camper)
This is my account of what went wrong at camp this year.
Well, folks! the first mistake was she (my Mom) Mary (AKA) Mary Lou (AKA) Lou; and by the way camp security needs to check this lady out; back to the story, Mom got Zoe & and I up at 5:30 in the morning, Gads...Now... you tell me what dog in their right mine gets up at
5:30 to go camping? (((Sigh))) Woof, Woof! For sure not the York's Yorkshire Terriers.
It appeared it was going to be a bright sunny day, all thought who could
tell, it was still dark out side, when Baby Zoe and I went out to do are
morning business and I tell you friends I do think Baby Zoe was still sleeping, You know sleep
walking, dogs do this to, Ya! they do... Cross my paws and hope to get more
Dog treats they do…
This was the second mistake, I'm telling you chatters my mom made lots of
HUGE boo boos that morning. she decided not to feed us our breakfast and would wait till
we got to camp and eat our breakfast with the camp staff. Well long story
short, while driving to the camp, poor little Baby Zoe got and Upset tummy from not eating and she got car sick, And you quested
it, Zoe got the bubblies! and more bubblies! it was every where and I am in
the same crate with the green looking kid,(Sigh) Oh! baby Zoe the smell is
Unbearable... Mom, get me out of this create, this dog stinks.
Mom had to stop the car and clean out the crate half way to the camp, but
The poor kid still looked pretty green. Then thing got worst, we looked up and the sky
Started to look very dark the further north we went the darker the sky got.
Yep! just our luck, it started raining, cats & dogs, and more cats and dogs and buckets of them
came down, And you all know Yorkie don't look good wet, all though I think
Zoe could have used a little rain water about now to get some of the stink off of
her. I added just a little dog humor here... hehehe
Finely we arrive at camp, so my moms friend Peg said she would hold the
green looking Baby Zoe while mom set up our condo on the camp porch because
It was still rain cat and cat out side...... NO dogs just cats!
Yep! Zoe got the BUBBLIES again and it went all over moms friend Peg, now we
have, a smelly 2.2 lb. Yorkie still looking very green and one stinky human,
and fifty grieving kids who need Pet Therapy. WHAT TO DO? This would not be good for the
kids when we get into our group sharing circles, maybe Zoe and Peg could go
Out and sit by the camp Dumpsters and the kids would not notice the smell.
But! Ooh, wait just one dog gone minute... they saw a bear club going throw the
dumpster this morning when they where opening the camp up and where there is
a club bear there is a BIGGGGGGGG mommy bear, guess we will just have to put up
with the two stinkies or sit them out in the rain, Maybe the rain will wash
the smell off of them. Ya! Right.
Finally, mom had to take Baby Zoe to the infirmary to see the camp nurse.
This was my mom's ninth year at Camp Mend A Heart and in all those years mom
said she had never had to go to the infirmary to see the camp nurse, well! guess
What... her recored is now broke. The camp nurse took Zoe temperature and
gave her some Pepto-Bismol the nurse said this was a first for her and she
needed to ask the head honcho, Mrs. Mary Andrews RN, how to document the use
of the Pepto-Bismol for Baby Zoe and Zoe's visit to the infirmary, You see all visits and
meds given at Camp Mend-A- Heart must be documented to York Hospital. I would give big
doggie bones to see the faces of the person reading this report at York
Hospital from the VNA nurse. Phew! What fun that would be to here her explaining this.
Well, the rain is stopping and we can finely go out and play besides if I had
to hear that song YMCA and all that stomping and clapping the kids where
Doing I was going to be the next sick dog.
Now this is my story and I am sticking to it, so if mom has a different
Story it is the exaggerated version. I will send some pictures of the camp later.
The absolutely positively camper of the year!
