Mochi
Devilrobots & Kidrobot, 2008
Mochi serves as the mascot for MoMA's Destination: Japan product collection. A nod to the diverse menagerie of kawaii (cute) characters that represent Japanese brands and serve as guides to everyday activities, he was developed in collaboration with the design studio Devilrobots and the art toy designer and retailer Kidrobot. This limited-edition collectible toy is available in four colors and is sold in individual blind boxes. Not intended for small children.
This item is assorted. A color will be selected for you at random.
Destination: Japan is a MoMA-exclusive product collection highlighting lifestyle products from Japan.

Collaborating with 4 artists in the urban art scene EGO Studios have asked them to take part in Resin Rising giving them free rein to explore ideas and experiment with concepts of creating 3D work from their art. Generating individual ranges of limited models and designer toys that will appeal to the independent culture of designer toys, these collections will be hand sculpted and produced in a high detail PU resin.
