   About YAM
YAM discovered one day that moving air around in varying patterns and frequencies resulted in widely varying responses in other humans that could not be attributed to environmental factors.

Our new YAM cd "Assumptions" is now available for purchase online! Get your copy and support YAM. Look for a CD Release party coming soon!!
YAM: Assumptions

The research team as we know YAM today consists of people who were or are playing in other teams (Squelch's, The Gift, Hop'd, Deep Snapper, Fruitcake-Superbeing). In 2004 founding members English & Lenihan started recording their musical observations as a project called "You & Me" with another lead guitarist (W.Kelley), English handling drums and Sal Torneo also drumming on a couple songs. 3 experiments quickly turned into 9, and soon they had a full-blown album on their hands and played a few gigs.

Listeners describe the sensation of You & Me as progressive rock, yet with a lot more casual melody and 70s-style groove pop rhythm than that.

Now reformed as the harder, sweeter potato of YAM, the band adds drummer Chris Smith and they have collaborated to write their first album for 2009 titled "Assumptions" which bridges their prog/punk roots while crossing into some new flavors of techno, country and punk. Look for "Assumptions" in April 2009!

    Hi there!
This message was not written personally for you. We are just trying to get the word out to all the people on our friends list, so we're sending the exact same message for everyone. But if you'd still like to have a real conversation with us, you're more than welcome to do so. Just send us a message or leave us a comment and we will answer. That is, after you read the following updates.

The music video for our song Deep Child is now online on myspace. Directed by Amir Armel with a script written by Shir Deutch (our lead singer). Please take the time to check it out, rate it, discuss it, make parodies of it using puppet bunnies, and send it out to all your friends! (If you feel like it)

Liked the video? Liked the song? You can download our album,
A Prescription for Paper Cuts, from our site, for free!

Liked the album? Buy the damn thing! We're starving here! Besides, it's got lots of nifty drawings created by our own lead guitarist, Opher Vishnia. And you do like drawings, don't you?

Think we deserve world fame? Get us a record deal!

    Thank you for your time.

    Kristy Kruger
