About You Can't Eat The Word Food
You can’t judge a book by its cover.
You can’t make the word love.
You can’t eat the word food…a band of 4 like-minded gentlemen who have been operating on the periphery of the Glasgow music scene for the last few years.

The sound they produce can best be summed up in words unhindered by sentences;
Melodic
Energetic
Positive
Enthusiastic
Sharp
Witty
Upbeat and playful are some that have been used to describe them.

At the core burns the spirit of Punk, the ghost of Psychedelia and the ingredient ultimately essential to them, individuality. The culmination of these and their respective musical personalities creates an intriguing feast. Though in its basic form it is guitar based rock, but with lyrics that deal not with the clichés often attributed to this style. A wide range of subjects are addressed from the pursuit of hope and the shaving of monsters (metaphorically or otherwise).

You can’t eat the word food hope to be bothering a hi-fi nearby soon.

MONOTONIX
Saturday 28th November
Nice n Sleazys, Glasgow

The release of their new album tops off a whirlwind year of touring, the infamy surrounding their charged live perfomances steadily mounting. Rightly so, check out this youtube link- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XmEHu-QAgNE&feature=related - and marvel at one of the typically unpredictable gigs of the band that Spin have declared the "most exciting live band in rock'n'roll."

Times New Viking
"Rambunctious to new standards of blessed impenetrability, Ohio trio Times New Viking’s simple-on-paper M.O. is to take the sweetest of super-sweet pop music, indiefied though it is, and strip it of its outer layers of glitz and gloss. The result is music that crackles and fuzzes, screams and roars; it’s an X-Factor audition in a spin-dryer, potential sing-alongs rendered riotously raw through purposeful deconstruction."

How did it go down on Friday ??/ Was it busy ?? Always dead when I am in there...

I was meant to be on the bill on Saturday but they pulled me off to make space for
some bands who were meant to play the G81 on that night $*$"%"$"$"£^&£^%£
