Paul Young is a Free-Lance Drummer, Composer and Educator who currently resides in Brisbane. He is regularly playing Jazz, Roots and Experimental music with such ensembles such as 'The Quadratic Contingency' (TQC), 'The Jimmy Watts Band', and 'The Homeless Souls' (Peter B). His most recent work with TQC has seen Paul composing and performing works that fuse Nu Jazz, Experimental, Noise and Minimalism. After graduating the Queensland University of Technology (Bmus), Paul has performed throughout Europe and regularly tours Nationally, performing in some of Australia’s largest festivals. Paul’s versatility is shown by the eclectic variety of ensembles he performs in, including Rock, Country, Jazz, Funk, Folk, Soul and Experimental. As well performing regularly, Paul is regularly engaged in recording projects. His has most recently recorded with ‘The Quadratic Contingency’, ‘The Jimmy Watts Band’, ‘John Meyer’ (The Internationalists), ‘The Rifle Birds’, ‘Peter B & The Homeless Souls’ and ‘The Ivory Trio’. Paul's newest project 'The Quadratic Contingency', are currently playing his original compositions. Paul is a dedicated educator with 8 years experience in education. -

We're looking for a support act for a series of Brisbane and SE Qld/NNSW gigs this year and for a national tour, including festivals, next year. The gigs and tour have promotional and managerial financial backing.
Support slots are currently available for The Zoo on Thursday 16th September and The Powerhouse in late October.
