"Fatherhood calls men to purposes larger than themselves. In this sense, the essence of fatherhood is the giving of oneself, connecting to others, and recognizing truths that are bigger than any one man. Having and loving a child thus becomes for the male a flesh-and-blood signal of the possibility of transcendence -- perhaps his best chance to glimpse, even in his weakness and shortsightedness, that spark of the divine that is in every human person. For being a good father is as close as men can come to participating with God in creation.---David Blankenhorn, "Toward Fatherhood"*****On the mountains of truth you can never climb in vain: either you will reach a point higher up today, or you will be training your powers so that you will be able to climb higher tomorrow.---Friedrich Nietzsche*****There is not enough religion in the world even to destroy religion.---Friedrich Nietzsche*****A soul that knows it is loved but does not itself love betrays its sediment: what is at the bottom comes up.---Friedrich Nietzsche*****It is terrible to die of thirst in the ocean. Do you have to salt your truth so heavily that it does not even--quench thirst any more?---Friedrich Nietzsche*****A thinker sees his own actions as experiments and questions--as attempts to find out something. Success and failure are for him answers above all.---Friedrich Nietzsche*****Talking much about oneself can also be a means to conceal oneself.---Friedrich Nietzsche*****In heaven all the interesting people are missing.---Friedrich Nietzsche*****Even when the mouth lies, the way it looks still tells the truth.---Friedrich Nietzsche*****In men who are hard, intimacy involves shame--and is precious.---Friedrich Nietzsche*****The high spirits of kindness may look like malice.---Friedrich Nietzsche*****Friedrich Nietzsche may have been perturbed, but above all he was misunderstood. His was brilliant, yet he was not accepted by his peers, society, and ultimately the Zietgiest. Granted, he was radical on many issues of which I do not agree, but many of his concepts were skewed because of the the intellectual and cultural climate of his day. As a oft misunderstood person, I empathize.---Me*****The greatest use of life is to spend it for something that will outlast it.---William James*****Whenever two people meet, there are really six people present. There is each man as he sees himself, each man as the other person sees him, and each man as he really is.---William James*****Even though energy cannot be the source of moral value, it is true that no real moral achievement is possible unless we learn how to organize and manage our energy, that is, unless we learn how to structure our life and how to preserve our action from its decay and passivity.---William James*****What I am is good enough if I would only be it openly.---Carl Rogers*****Look into the depths of your own soul and learn first to know yourself, then you will understand why this illness was bound to come upon you and perhaps you will thenceforth avoid falling ill.---Sigmund Freud

your crazy if you think the lakers would have lost to the celtics or cavs... we swept them both in the regular season...watch next year when we beat your precious celtics in the finals...the cavs are not strong enough to win it all yet.. they could not even get by the magic... who we beat in five games.,....
its crazy, but im actually diggin my religious studies classes way more than my psych classes. ive come to realize that religion is an extension of pyschology... its basically the same thing. in my opinion, i think religion is just a form of therapy. but anyway, im takin intro to buddhism, asian philosophy, religion media and contemporary culture, history and development from early christian thought (from christ to the middle ages), and computer applications in psych (using SPSS)
but my classes are awesome. im so glad i decided to double major. if you ever wanna discuss psych and religion, im down :)
so when do you graduate, or did you graduate already? im sorry i loose track of time so easily lol... and what did you or are you majoring in? psych and political stuff?
