This is all music recorded in 1988. These are Buckethead's earliest multi-track recordings, but it's all there -- the astounding technique, the lyrical beauty, the incredible shredding and popping. The CD booklet includes reproductions of the handwriting on the original tapes, as well as the first-ever Buckethead bio, from 1989. Buckethead drew a crazy cover, showing a young version of himself in a ghostly coop. Available now atYOUNGBUCKETHEAD.COM

Hoping to get the word out about Buckethead's new CD, "Acoustic Shards." and other fresh wedges to come!

Greetings binge buddies! We have many treats for Buckethead enthusiasts here at Avabella Productions! Namely, Young Buckethead Volume 1 and 2 and the newly released Acoustic Shards.

The rare footage on the two Young Buckethead DVDs was shot in San Francisco during 1990 and 1991, just as Buckethead and the Deli Creeps were beginning to play outside of their southern California hometown. The DVDs include three complete Deli Creeps concerts, a soundcheck, some cool backstage shenanigans, and solo footage of Buckethead.

Young Buckethead Vol. 1

Vol. 1 features a complete 1990 Deli Creeps concert and soundcheck in San Francisco, an insane keyboard performance in a SF basement, and a stunning extended guitar solo performed at a Buckethead family reunion.

  • Deli Creeps at Cactus Club 11/24/90
  • Deli Creeps Soundcheck 11/24/90
  • Buckethead in the Basement 5/21/91
  • Buckethead¹s Backyard Solo 6/16/91

Featuring the Deli Creeps: Buckethead, Maximum Bob, Pinch Face, and Tony Black

Directed and produced by Jas Obrecht
    All Drawings by Buckethead

    Running time: Approx. 95 minutes.

    Young Buckethead Vol. 2

Vol. 2 features two complete Deli Creeps concerts in San Francisco, unrehearsed backstage footage, and a very rare interview in a park.

    • Deli Creeps at the I-Beam, 9/1/90
    • Deli Creeps backstage, 9/1/90
    • Deli Creeps at the Kennel Club 4/3/91
    • Buckethead in the Park 12/29/90

Featuring the Deli Creeps: Buckethead, Maximum Bob, Pinch Face, Saucy Patches (9/1/90 show), and Tony Black (4.3/91 show)

Directed and produced by Jas Obrecht
    All Drawings by Buckethead

    Running time: Approx. 95 minutes.

    Acoustic Shards

Recorded during the same time as the Young Buckethead DVDs, Acoustic Shards showcases Buckethead alone on acoustic guitar. The music was recorded in real time, without overdubs or effects devices - just Buckethead in a living room, playing a borrowed guitar. Much of it was composed on the spot. The CD includes the earliest-known version of fan faves "For Mom" and "Who Me?" as well as lots of classic riffs and things you've never heard before.

Buckethead himself drew all the artwork for the CD and poster.

    Track listing:

    1. For Mom (early version) 2:39
    2. Who Me? (early version) 2:11
    3. Little Gracie 3:02
    4. Ed's Rhapsody/Midnight Dance/Jars 2:55
    5. Ganryu Island/Saskia's Gone 2:14
    6. Ghosts Upstairs 2:39
    7. Spirals 3:48
    8. Cubes, Chunks & Crumbles 3:27
    9. Thugs 7:38
    10. Dinging/Ah-ji-jee 2:38
    11. Johnny 2:17
    12. Stay Out of the Shed 3:00
    13. Serape 1:46
    14. Longing 10:33
    15. Box Elders 1:14

    Total time: 52:30
Recorded and produced by Jas Obrecht

To celebrate the recent release of Acoustic Shards we now have two original posters drawn by the man himself for immediate purchase- get a slab of art on your wall today!!

Thank you for accepting my friend request. I am trying to get a lot of friends together as I will soon be playing in other states. I wanted to make sure that I kept in touch with everyone and here seems to be the best place. Please feel free to check out my band(s) sites as well. Baked Monkey and Knot Limited are on my friends list and have more original music with my influence(s). Hopefully I will be performing in your area soon and I hope to meet all of you. Keep track of my page for further details. Thanks again. Love to all,
Amanda

Ahoy there! I am a huge fan, and a returning customer. I was wondering if it would be possible to post a small sample of "From the Coop" so we can get an idea of the sound quality and format. Ill probably just buy it anyway, but i just thought id ask!

Best wishes to you and yours.
