The upcoming rapper "Young Chief" started rapping at a young age. He has dropped 5 mix tapes in the past couple of years with his right hand man "Young Sparks". Right now he has just finished working on his 1st album “THE PROFIT”. He is also a member to the entertainment group named "Stunt Mountain. Young Chief is a very dedicated MC and he is only 17.
Chief was born April 11, 1990 in Chester PA. He was given the name "Young Chief" by his manager Brian aka “B Lock” in his high school years, which showed that he was a leader, and in control, like a chief of an army or of a plane. With his creative punch lines and metaphors, Chief is definitely a Chief of the rap game.
It was 4th grade when Chief started to notice his talent, like he could listen to a song on the radio, and memorize it by the next day. He never really thought about being a rapper at a young age because he was focused on the same thing the other boys his age was, which was basketball. Until one day he was inspired by his music teacher in the 7th grade to make a song for a music project. He started to think about it and it turned out very well. Chief has big things ahead of him as he started high school.
His first year in high school he joined an after school program which involved rapping and making music. That was when Chief started to catch the ears of others as he recorded his first verse on a cd. Chief would write everyday as he was determined to live out his dream. At the age of 17 with 5-mix tape cd’s with over 20 tracks on each, you can see how bad he really wants it. As people would tell him that he would soon run out of bars, that still doesn’t stops Chief. Threw the past years, Chief has been into: rap battles, talent shows, fashion shows appearances on cd’s, dvd’s, and he’s been on the radio.
Chief is not like your average rapper who can only rap about 1 thing. With his creative stories, street music, songs for the ladies, and some real situations, Chief is very versatile and consistent with his work. As if some one told him he was just ok, he would go and write something to convince the person how good he really was great. “I want to give thanks to god 1st for giving me this gift, and my family for being there with me, and everybody else who was there for me threw the struggle. With this album I plan to prove to myself and other people that I’m not only a mix tape rapper, but also I can also make nice songs. I also plan to prove with this album “THE PROFIT” that at the age of 17, I feel like I’m hotter and more disciplined than half of these rappers you see on TV. The sky is the limit and I’m not going to stop until I reach it.”
