"DICTION'S STORY"(Biography)
Diction was raised in Houston, Texas and has shown to have musical gifts since childhood. His mother, Kathleen knew he was to be a special breed of person so decided to give birth to him in the comfort of their home with the supervision of a midwife. God told Diction's mother that he has been chosen to be a Prophet,
"..a leader of men and to watch over his friend's and his education."
His spiritual background came from the strength and power of his father Apostle Marvin T. Boyd Sr's Ministry. A Prophetic man of wisdom, who for 30 years traveled all over the world ministering the gospel to people, changing their lives forever. Diction also came from a educational background with both of his grandparents having been school teachers. He also has deep musical roots in his family. From Singers and Songwriters, to Producers and Engineers.

"Music definitely runs in my blood." says Diction.
Diction grew up to be a very profound athlete in both Basketball and Football, playing Point guard and Quarterback respectfully. Both of these being positions of leadership. He was awarded an MVP trophy for Basketball his senior year of high school for his leadership and outstanding talent on the court.
"Football was my first love , basketball is my heart" says Diction.
After graduating from Robert E. Lee High School, Diction went on to the University of Houston where he studied for his Associates Degree in """"""".
He then traveled all over and learned many things from witnessing life in different parts of the world.
Instead of waiting for a handout, Diction has been grinding fearlessly, breaking out his music in the U.S.A, Canada and Australia. Diction is far more than just a Rapper from Texas, he is an Independent, International, up and rising "Star". Being a globetrotter has helped Diction gain a sense of humility which becomes evident once you have spoke to him. A very humble, down to earth individual with 15 years of music grind under his belt. Diction feels that his presence in the music industry is essential.
"15 years, wow!! It's been a long hard fight but I was taught to never give up on your dreams...and I will not! I was born for this, its my calling." says Diction.
Diction has cultivated his artistry into his own style of music, different from other artists in his part of Texas. He calls his style "Southpaw Claw".

Also in October of 2008 Diction's hit single "BIRTHDAY SUIT" won a radio station Hot 89.9(Ottawa,Canada) "battle of the beats " competition for (5) days in a row beating out heavy hitters Madonna, Paris Hilton and more.The competition worked like this : They play 2 songs ,one rising star/ and one big name top artist in a head to head battle.The listeners then have to decide which song they like better,by voting."Birthday Suit" won everyday by a landslide. This victory has retired this song as one of the greats to be worthy of the stations hall of fame, and gained Diction a tremendous amount of radio air play.
