About young flux

With a drum machine beat and a progression of broken chords, Toronto’s most ruthlessly efficient garage disco band was started. Young Flux was formed by High School friends Roozbeh Showleh (bass, beats and keys) and Carl Lee (vocals and guitar) as a studio project in late 2006. They wanted to sound like electricity and concrete, like Giorgio Moroder being assaulted by a crystal meth addict. A few months later, and with the addition of British exile Bill Bedford on guitar, the trio had honed their pure form of machine-tooled, bloody-nosed pop music. It's a sound of recycled days, crowded nights and echoes in the alley on the way back home.

That was a great set at The Silver Dollar, brash post-punk colliding with analog rhythms, resulting in a raw, upbeat sound. Onwards and upwards for the band. Well done.
