About me:
Young Friends of CanCare is reaching out to Houston's young professional community. Young Friends hosts events and mixers where the focus is raising awareness and funds for CanCare, a non-profit organization. Attendees are encouraged to bring friends or invite their entire office so that each event is bigger than the last .Young Friends of CanCare is open to anyone with an interest in sharing CanCare's message with their circle of influence, or is looking for a way to help serve within the organization.
CanCare's primary goal is to provide free, one-on-one, long-term emotional support to cancer patients and their families from trained cancer survivor volunteers who know from first-hand experience the physical and emotional turmoil they are experiencing. Our volunteers are matched with individuals by cancer type, treatment, age, gender and family situation. For more info check out www.cancare.org
