This Texas native influences clearly come from the home state with the likes of UGK, Scarface, and Chamillionare but also travel nation wide with influences from artist as the late 2pac, Jay-Z, and MJG. Even though the previous mentioned influences have remarkable clout Young Jace says his biggest influence in his life is none other than Jesus Christ himself.
Ernest Mitchell is what many of his peers and family know him by, but to his ever growing fan base he is known as "Young Jace". Born and raised in the big city of Dallas, TX he quickly fell in love with music at the tender age of 9. By the young age of 15 Jace began to home his skills and take his talents serious.
He would record his own versions of then popular songs on the radio onto cassetts and show his peers what he had done. At school during lunch he would join the circle of free styling youngsters and trade punch lines. After hearing he was good at what he did so many times he started to believe it and took it upon himself in 2005 to record his first mixtape called Headed 2 the Top. With this project he used a trait besides good looks he inherited from his mom, a trait called hustle. He sold countless tapes out of his trunk and even landed himself and a few musically inclined friends a spot in a show sponsored by a local radio station at a decorated community college in the metropolis.
Now in his early 20's he has created a buzz for himself and a work ethic that's nearly unmatchable. Separating himself from other acts with his undeniable flow and electric stage presence he is determined to break through the industry's shut doors and leave them open for other inspiring artist from Texas. You can catch Jace tearing down the house on stage at a variety of night clubs throughout the DFW or in the studio creating new music for his fans.
So if you're looking for a young, new, innovating, artist to book for your next show, look no further than Young Jace. He's a breath of fresh air with a swagga that will have the crowd in aw! "Please don't forget I appreciate all the local love and support and anybody behind this new south movement".
