La più giovane tribute band italiana dedicata a Neil Young, il secondo cantautore più influente nella storia del rock dopo Dylan. I Painters mixano la fedeltà all'originale con la reinterpretazione personale, in un sound sia acustico sia rugginoso... gli amanti del canadese sanno bene cosa significa.
Nascono ufficialmente nell'autunno 2005 come duo: un cantante, Tommy, e un chitarrista, Matt. Debuttano in un paio di concerti nella primavera 2006. Nel frattempo si incrocia la storia di Dave, virtuoso bassista che aveva già suonato in passato assieme a Matt; così il sodalizio si rinnova. Il trio porta avanti alcuni concerti durante tutto l'anno, nel territorio di Reggio Emilia. Durante l'estate viene anche inciso un primo demo come presentazione per i locali.
Nel 2007 subentra il quarto uomo: Giorgio, polistrumentista modenese impegnato in un gruppo southern-rock. La sua passione per il genere - lap steel, banjo oltre alle chitarre - danno alla band la marcia che mancava, introducendo infine anche la batteria.
Nella primavera del 2008 si apre il terzo, produttivo anno, con la registrazione di un cd soddisfacente: "Sessions2008", primo EP ufficiale della nuova line-up con un sound prettamente acustico. Tra il 2008 e il 2009 i Painters portano avanti ricche stagioni di concerti, spesso alternando i set acustici ai set elettrici. Nella primavera 2009 viene prodotto il secondo EP, questa volta elettrico, "Sessions2009".

The Neil Young’s “youngest” Italian tribute band. Painters play Neil Young's songs - the second most influential songwriter in the history of rock after Dylan - mixing the fidelity to the original with the personal interpretation. The sound is both acoustic and rusty... Canadian's fans know very well what it means.
The Painters were formed as a duo consisting of Tommy as the vocalist, and Matte on guitar, back in 2005. They played their first concerts in the spring of 2006. Around the same time Dave, an old friend, joined them, giving the band a bass player, and the heavy bottom they needed to fill out their sound. Together, the trio played concerts during the year and in the summer recorded the first demo. During the spring of 2007, Giorgio joined the group becoming its fourth member, bringing with him his passion for playing Country Rock on his banjo, lap steel guitar and finally drums, and bringing a new vitality to the Painters. In the spring of 2008, at the beginning of the third year, the Painters record the first acoustic EP, “Sessions 2008”. Concerts continue regularly, especially from fall 2008 to spring 2009. Finally, in the spring of 2009, they record a new EP, with electric guitars this time: "Sessions 2009".

Painters tocan las canciones de Young mezclando la fidelidad al original y la interpretaciòn personal. El sonido es acùstico y tambien herrumbrado... los aficionados del canadiense saben muy bien lo que significa.
Painters nacen en 2005. Al principio era un dùo compuesto de un cantante, Tommy, y de un guitarrista, Matte, ambos con la pasiòn por Neil Young. Los primeros conciertos empiezan en la primavera de 2006. En el mismo perìodo se une a la banda Dave, un bajista y amigo desde hace mucho tiempo. El trìo sigue tocar frente al pùblico por un año y, en el verano 2006, graban su primer demo. Despuès de un año del primer concierto, en la primavera 2007, se junta a la banda el cuarto miembro, Giorgio. Su pasiòn para el country rock sound - banjo, lap steel y tambien batéria - da a la banda nueva vitalidad. Los conciertos comienzan en el abril 2007 y siguen de manera regular. En la primavera 2008, para empezar el tercer año, Painters graban el primer EP, “Sessions 2008”, acùstico. En la primavera 2009 el segundo, "Sessions2009", eléctrico.
