About me:

We're Young, Informed and Progressive!
Our mission?
Committed to increasing the awareness and vote for local progressive politics: we Engage, Educate and Act.

We are working locally towards:

- Corporate Responsibility
- Civil rights for all regardless of race or sexual orientation
- Health care that is affordable and available to all
- The right for all to a quality education
- Environmental Sanity
- The right of every citizen to determine his or her own reproductive health care.

Just after the 2004 election a crew of us in our 20s and 30s shook our heads at the results in disbelief... We noticed we were all shaking in unison and so YPM was formed!

We got to talking and all agreed that 1) the country needs some help and 2) our generation usually doesn't have a pile of money to offer the causes we believe in. BUT, we DO have our time, energy, innovation and youth. And we know a lot of people like us - who want to talk politics over drinks, who want to be informed and inform others, who don't want a lot of newsletters and empty talk, and who might even give over a few hours a month to a good project if someone plugs them in. YPM is made up of painters, poets, musicians, actors, organizers, computer whizzes, designers, young politicos, philanthropists, consultants... In short, Young Los Angeles. Only one of us has modeled in Japan, but all of us get that it's time to stand together, unwaveringly young and progressive. We hope you'll join us...

Who I'd like to meet:
Everyone under 40 who who is down to work towards a progressive future! And if you are over 40 and want to help spread the word or throw us a bone - we welcome you too. Just get on board.

philopatrios	Sep 27 2008 11:41 AM Washington Transcripts (What is really being said in DC) I never believed that my program of rapid dismantling of Federal Government regulations could have brought things to this state in the last year of my Presidency, but just look how far I have brought America. Last week, my Administration spooked Congress into a stampede mindset, and now it is all about just herding the lemmings. This bailout plan Hank Paulson and I thought up is so great. It is a huge step forward towards privatizing social security and all them medical care programs. I will be leaving John McCain a great platform from which he can launch the final Republican solution. He and Sarah are just the pair to bring us to the golden city on the highest hill of an ultimate trickle down economy. From the blog about political hacks betraying democracy!

My Veterans Administration supports veterans who support themselves, not them that whine about what they been put through and not getting enough education benefits. Look at John McCain and myself, we are both Vietnam era and we didn’t need no education benefits. We both picked ourselves up by the boots. We are both shinning beacons of what these homeless vets can be, beacons standing on a high hill of compassionate conservatism. From the blog that is all about political hacks betraying democracy!
