Released in September 2009 The Boy & The Beartrap is the self produced debut album from Young Runaways. Mastered by Frank Arkwright (Arcade Fire, The Smiths) the record was made at the bands’ own studio, recorded sporadically between November 2008 and April 2009.
Young Runaways are two sets of siblings and two friends from Wolverhampton. The songs speak of the people, places and experiences the band members have shared growing up together. Imbued with a tangible sense of adventure, the record shifts
effortlessly through the multi - instrumental sensory sonics of the band performing full tilt, to acoustic acapellas recorded in the garden of the studio, and back again. The record was launched in Wolverhampton with a sold out show at the Newhampton Arts Centre on Saturday September 19th. The band will be touring in support of the new album for the rest of 2009 and into the new year.
