Adelaide MacKenzie
one to watch out for by New Nation, her 1st Single ‘He gives Me More" was nominated for a GEM Award "Best Single" & “Best Female” 2004 & her debut album 'Daily Process' was showcased at the Jazz Café 2005. In 2006 she was nominated for “Best Female Artist” by Oasis Music and at the Women Jazz Festival Adelaide found herself winner of the credible great Nina Simone ‘Inspirational Artiste of 2008’ awarded by Black Woman in Arts Foundation.
Adelaide Mackenzie has made a name for herself by simply just singing out at venues whether it be at a gospel music events, church services, youth conferences, park events or open mics. She has created a name for her self within the Gospel scene as well within the circular music scene. Her music described as being filled with vibe and her voice filled with energy that leaves audiences demanding an encore.
Every 2nd Friday of the Month you can find her encouraging other performers while presenting her own music night called ‘Blessed Souls UK’ with a Live Band.

Young Women Now

YWN was born out of the passion of two women , Tammi Gillett ( Network Consultant for In-volve )& Harninder Athwal( Communications officer for the Federation)
"Young Women" Now was set up to raise awareness of the issues that effect young women ( 16-25 years old) across the country and to provide an annual event ,
where young women and those who work with them, can come together to make positive change for the future.
Each year YWN touches on a different issue, often based on the work carried out with young women throughout the year. But more importantly the issues raised by young women themselves.
YWN saw its first event on the 4th April 2007 ( Young woman and health). The event was outstanding with presentations from Denise Marshall ( C.E.O Poppy) , ADDACTION ( Services for young women), Isabelle Penman ( Role models ) and performances by UNITY dance group, poetry from Floetic Lara & Kat francis and singing performances by the LAB.
This year YWN is holding an event looking Young woman and Career Development.
The future of YWN relies on the support of all young woman across the country and those who work with them,...Young women's motivation for change and passion for making this champaign about what's really important . " Young people"
