Your Anguish was formed in July 2003 in the grey motorcity of Turin, in northern Italy, from Francesco (guitar), Daniele (guitar) and Daniele (drums), with the aim to play a crossover between trash and death metal. Shortly after Marco, already singer in the past of two hardcore bands with some of the others guys, joins Your Anguish as lead singer. Later the band is completed with the arrival of Alessandro at the bass.
The sound soon achieved personality thanks to the members past experiences and their different musical influences. The result is a fast trash-metal-core, simple but aggressive and brutal... with a light melodic contamination. Early main influences are the thrash metal by Slayer, Sepultura, Kreator and the first wave of metallic hardcore of the late 90's (Integrity, Hatebreed).
After some months playing live in the Turin underground scene, the band start to record the first album.
The first CD, even though the rough recordings, is catchy and aggressive and it has been released at the end of 2005 with the help of DIY labels "Produzioni Sante" and "Zumbi records". The tracklist is: Introduction, The race, An ordinary story, Crossed paths, Watching your anguish, Broken dreams, Atrocity exhibition, Silence, I won't wipe your tears anymore.
In the following years the band focused on live activity, trying to spread Your Anguish' name as more as possible, unfortunately a lot of line-up changes make it difficult to be stable for a long period. However this didn't stop the energy of the band who continued to grow up and to write new songs.
In the last year the line-up became stable: the technical skills improvement and the different influences derived from the arrival of Nicola (drums) and Marco (bass) contributed to the sound maturation. The aim is to take the best from the various members' experiences, which range over hardcore, progressive metal, grindcore, power, black and metalcore. The result is a mix between At the gates/The Haunted melodic death metal and the metalcore a-la As I lay dying, Darkest hour. Anyway, we still focus on innovation, avoiding to be stuck on a single style.
Four new songs have been written for "Desertified", the first professional work of the band (recorded @ Cerchio Perfetto Studio by Tino Paratore): Twins, Sahara, Sick parade and The fourth season.
Now Your Anguish is writing new material for a future full length album and is looking for a record label to release the "Desertified" EP/MCD.
