REVIEWS:
"There's a dash towards the merch table halfway in to Bring out your
Dead's set to grab a copy of their free demo because these guys are
amazing. They play modern death metal in a similar vein to The Red
Chord with occasional blasts of insane Agoraphobic Nosebleed style
grind. It sounds absolutely huge and they deserved to play further up
the bill tonight" Radio Coma Magazine - April 2006 (review of gig at Corporation, Sheffield w/Johnny Truant)
"They play very tight, have a good sound, and vocals although more metalcore minded, that fit the music perfectly. Score: 86/100" www.grindmetal.be
"First track 'Beauty As Poison' is the pick, with a really, really snappy intro and stomping breakdowns breaking up the headsdown thrash sections, although last track 'Protection...From Ourselves' runs it bloody close for it's great shortsharpshock treatment, unintelligible vocals and a really good descending riff. The guitars are nice and chunky, and the variation in the vocals - from screech, to grunt, to almost spoken word - does a good job to keep the attention." www.amodelofcontrol.com - June 2006
"With a sound that calls to imagination the heady days of the early Death metal scene; when bands such as Cannibal Corpse, Napalm Death and Obituary dominated conversation. Solidly heavy and wonderfully produced, check em out as soon as you get a chance...Bring Out Your Dead have a massive future open to them. 4 out of 5 stars. www.randommagazine.co.uk - August 2006
Unlike a lot of death metal and brutal grind bands, Bring Out Your Dead don't mind touching on a few lighter moments to add variety and depth to their style. Strong vocals and intricate death metal style riffs set the tone for Bring Out Your Dead's trademark sound. Their songs are short but pack a lot of punch. The CD, which although short, will leave any fan of the more brutal metal arts desperate for more. A band with a healthy future perhaps? Bring Out Your Dead earn 7 zombies out of 10. www.myspace.com/nmrihwebzine - September 2006
It's always good to hear any band driven by real feeling, especially when they have such great riffs and intense beatdowns. The influences of the likes of Dillinger Escape Plan and Necrophagist are clear, and like the said bands, BOYD appear to aim to push the boundaries of metal. Once Around Sheffield magazine - December 2006
Rarely will you ever hear a band as passionate about what they do as these guys, in every scream you can hear emotion – not sounds fashioned from the factory...their talent will make you bypass the majority of bands you hear. Bring Out Your Dead are definitely a band to keep your eye on. If you ever get a chance to see this band live, don’t pass on it, because you’ll regret it! 4/5 www.myspace.com/revolutionarymusicreviews - April 2007
