About me:
I'm a writer, speaker, and consultant specializing in girls' and women's issues. Check out my website at clairemysko.com.

My book for girls, Girls Inc. Presents: You're Amazing! A No-Pressure Guide to Being Your Best Self is out now!

"A great tool to help tween girls prepare for and overcome school drama, friend drama, and even a bit of body drama!"
--Nancy Redd, New York Times bestselling author of BODY DRAMA

"Every girl is amazing and this easy-to-follow guide helps girls finally believe it--and live it--for themselves! You're Amazing! is a must-read, interactive book for every girl and girl advocate who wants to bust past 'the supergirl dilemma' to become her super best self instead. This heartfelt book ultimately shows girls that they're not alone in the pressures they face and reveals how they can choose what they really want. It is both a revelation and a revolution!"
--Courtney Macavinta, founder of RespectRx.com and co-author of Respect: A Girl's Guide to Getting Respect & Dealing When Your Line Is Crossed

"I'm buying this book for every girl I know. Actually, make that every girl and woman I know. Claire Mysko pinpoints all the things that can erode self-confidence in this age group and then shows you what to do about them. You're Amazing! deals with adolescence with the same thoughtfulness and care that Mary Pipher's Reviving Ophelia did. Two words for this book: it's amazing."
--Hannah Seligson, author of New Girl on the Job: Advice from the Trenches

"If only every book for girls had a message like this one. Claire Mysko and Girls Inc. share an essential message of self-worth with smarts and savvy."
--Sarah Burningham, author of How to Raise Your Parents

You’ve heard it all before: Get good grades. Keep your room clean. Wear the right clothes. Try new extracurricular activities. And why don’t you have a boyfriend? All these demands can be mind boggling! What’s a girl to do? Girls Inc. Presents: You’re Amazing! is a guide to help you deal with the amount of pressure you endure to be “perfect.” In this fun and enthusiastic, not-your-mother’s book, you’ll get advice on not-so-easy topics, including how to:
* deal with stereotypes and cliques
* figure out the best way to balance school and a social life
* navigate the crushes and dating world
* find a place in your family

Packed with guidance from older teens, female role models, and activities from Girls Inc. (the organization that inspires girls to be strong, smart, and bold!), this fun to read book is truly a guide to being your very best—and happiest—self.

Featuring tips and personal stories from inspiring girls and women including:
* Ann Shoket, editor-in-chief of Seventeen
* Jess Weiner, self-esteem expert
* SuChin Pak, MTV News correspondent
* Magali Amadei, top model
* Kendall Ciesemier, founder of Kids Caring 4 Kids
* Irene from the Dove Reality Diaries

Check back for more news and updates!

Well, right now we are in the middle of our LOVE YOUR BODY WEEK filled with yoga, a movie showing, bake sale, and a couple of other things. We wanted to go to Seneca Falls, but the College didn't want to give us money towards it (right now we only get 100 dollars a YEAR)...so now we can't go.

Next semester we are going to be hosting LUNAFEST which is a small film festival For Women, By Women...and About Women. I just got the approval the other day...and I can not wait.

We also hold smaller events to raise awareness's...like safe sex, breast cancer, the wage gap, voting, abortion, and multiple others. Even though we have our names out there and people know who our group it...the campus doesn't really enjoy us..because we ARE activists and we are blunt.

We actually got yelled at on 9/11 because we decided to hold a candlelight vigil to honors those who died and who are currently fighting. The university, as well as every state University in PA, decided that it should not be done because it can harbor bad feelings and promote hate. Believe me...we are quite pissed off.

So..basically...the student body loves us...the state does not and this is why we only get 100 bucks a year and they try to hold us back with everything we try to do. Stupid conservative county...lol.
