BROTHER: 1. A male who has the same parent as another, or one parent in common with another. 2. One of a type similar to another.
The offspring of different sets of parents entirely, Andy Mitton and Eric Bloom, nevertheless, formed the aptly named duo: IDIOT BROTHER. They met when Andy cast Eric to play bluegrass music in his production of Jess Lachers adaptation of Mark Twains The Celebrated Jumpin Frog of Calaveras County. Eric didnt know how to play bluegrass music, but that didnt seem to matter. Together, the pair began writing their own music and soon after, IDIOT BROTHER, named after a character from the play, was born.
The duo's mix of acoustic pop, jazz, and folk creates a unique sound audiences are sure to love. Friends have called them a mix between Dave Matthews and Brian Wilson. Acquaintances have said, Idiot Brother is like Simon and Garfunkel meets The Indigo Girls . . . without the hair. And girls weve dated just simply wont stop calling.

The FINALS are THIS FRIDAY, Halloween night, October 31st, so make that a DEFINITE plan for the night. We know there are so many parties, so just so you know, we will play around 9:30PM that night.
You can come by at any time, wear a costume, be a part of the costume contest, vote for The B.O.L.T., hang out, whatever! Either way, please mark your calendars EARLY cause we are ready for a real Halloween party and for a great night of music from some awesome bands.
