Your Name Hear was formed in 1993 as a side project to blow off steam, riff like crazy and have fun. Songs quickly began to take shape, and soon after, a concept: an album about life, with each song representing a phase of life.We chose no style, we just played what we felt and the foundation for Table of Contents quickly took shape. Instead of vocal melodies, we used samples to tell the story. This freedom of expression is at the core of Your Name Hear. Through cooperative tinkering, we shape our thoughts and ideas into what we hope is entertaining and/or enlightening to others. We set about recording Table of Contents and nearly completed it. However, members of YNH were also members of other bands with their own aspirations, so YNH was temporarily put on the back burner. After a several year hiatus we finished Table of Contents and with renewed vigor set about writing new material. This time we decided to add vocal lyrics for certain songs. The result is Psychometry, which we finished recording in April of 2002. A blend of furious riffs and haunting melodies, Psychometry deals with ones struggles within oneself as well as the outrage of September 11th.
