....was formed in late 2007 when lead singer/bassist M H. and
drummer Chuck F. (having worked together previously on various recording
projects and shows in 2005 and 2006) recruited lead guitarist Greg S.and began
work on crafting a sound that would be all their own. After a couple of
preliminary shows as a trio, guitarist/bassist Chuck M. was added to the fold to
help continue the advancement of sonic architecture and growth.
....is a “new” band collectively, but none of the four members of this dynamic outfit are rookies to the rock scene. M H. has spent the better part of the last five years working diligently as a solo artist in the
Boston area, and fronted his own project entitled “Love Me for the Money”.
Greg S. notable experience has included playing for “Pictures of Animals” and “King Radio”, and Chuck F. has served within “KungFu Grip”, “King Radio”, and most-recently, “Nodscene”. Chuck M. brings with him, perhaps, the longest tenure of active band experience playing with “gladHouse”, “Citizen Moorehead”, and “KungFu Grip”.
....mix experience and musical styles together to
create something entirely new, fresh, and exciting. It’s difficult to classify
the “sound” of Your World on Fire, except to say that it’s not your standard rock n’ roll. There flourishes of power pop, hard driving rock, experimental rock, and even bits of electronic-based elements beginning to arrive on the scene to round out the sonic landscape. One thing’s for sure, though, it’s catchy and infectious, and will leave you wanting more.
....plans to release a full-length recording, and shows are being booked for Spring and Summer dates.
