About me:
Cancer is an ongoing struggle that we all have witnessed put either friends or family through rough times, and even take them from our lives. Together, using music and support from the community, we can help raise money to hopefully find a cure to this ever-growing disease.
We are two college students that have witnessed the effects of cancer, and together are looking for support from the community to raise money. We decided to start this non-profit organization to raise awareness, and make people realize that this disease is growing, and it can’t be ignored.
Our first goal is to raise awareness and support from the community and surrounding areas. We plan to set up different events in the community through the spring and summer. Through local events, we hope to raise awareness, as well as funds to donate towards cancer research, and the new cancer wing at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie, Ont. Canada.
We are currently finalizing the activities to be held during the benefit concert. It will be July 23rd at The Foundation Nightclub in Barrie. Prizes will be given away, and fun is sure to be had! Six amazing bands have joined the lineup, including local talent, Flatline Endings. Not to mention Sydney will be headlining the Show. From out East we have Above All Else and Mainstreet Exit, they are sure to add some spice to the line up. It's their first times playing in Barrie, so be sure to come out and support. Also from Toronto we have Awake and Dreaming and Aberdeen, so make the trip up and support all these bands!
