About me:


To all Bands and Musicians on the Central Coast, the Youth Arts Warehouse is looking for top new talent, YAW has is looking to re-produce the success it had with three events held in the warehouse in 2007 funded by Indent - music nsw. Local bands were involved in the gigs, featuring hip hop, acoustic and rock nights, with all events run by a crew of young people aged 15 – 25 year olds. The events were so successful that YAW received the Best Support Organization Award from music nsw. Successful acts will be taken through the in and out of funding for a event, liaising with technicians and running a successful band night. To be involved in this exciting opportunity, entries are closing soon, so drop Liz Carter, Youth Arts Coordinator a line on 43 232374 asap.

..The Youth Arts Warehouse is a space, which has been created to support Youth between 12 - 24 in the Arts & Performance areas, creating a safe learning environment looking at supporting Youth & Emerging Artists & Musicians

The Youth Arts Warehouse provides regular gigs, stage & theatre, exhibition space, recording studio, art & photography studio, video production, workshops & seminars.

    The world's largest short film competition comes to Sydney! The Sydney segment of the internationally acclaimed 48 HOUR FILM PROJECT will be run from the Blue Mountains as a part of this year's Footbeat Festival. The weekend of 10-12 October promises to be a wild and sleepless weekend for the teams who are challenged to make a movie or music clip, to write, shoot and edit it in just 48 hours.


    Filmmakers throughout NSW, including Sydney, Newcastle, Wollongong, Lithgow, Bathurst and the Blue Mountains are invited to compete in the world's oldest and largest timed-film competition. The 48HFP takes place annually in over 70 cities around the world competing to win the title of Best 48 Hour Film of 2008.


    The 48HFP can help launch a filmmaking career. 'Myles West', last year's winner in Brisbane, went on to win a swag of awards at the international competition in America, competing against the winners from 50 other cities. It was then screened in the Short Film Corner at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival.
