Youth Expressions (Y.E) is the premier spot where Miami youth come to engage on the path of exploration, discovery, development and positive expression that leads to health and wellness, personal and community empowerment and helps them to learn and develop the self-assurance, discipline and skills needed to realize their full potential.
To fulfill our mission, YE offers a holistic approach that includes Hip Hop Life Coaching, Yoga, Martial Arts and Technology to help our members develop the skills to cope with the daily challenges and stresses faced by teenagers and young adults. Our goal is for members to develop a heightened self-awareness and vitality that allows them to harness their mental and emotional energy. Youth feel more in control of themselves, with enhanced peace of mind, concentration, and a deep inner balance and self-confidence.
Since our founding in 2000 as a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization, Youth Expressions (YE) has supported the long-term growth and development of more than 1000 of Miami-Dade County’s most at-risk youth using a novel approach to youth development. In addition, through YE youth-produced educational performances, we have reached more than 250,000 local youth with positive messages on topics such as health, substance abuse, and personal success – to name a few.
