The Jackson Area Youth Council gives the youth of Jackson a voice in the community.
Our organization promotes diversity and creativity through our actions and ideas.
We reconize the skills and ideas that young people have, and work to ensure that youth voices are heard.
"SEE US, HEAR US, REMEMBER YOU WERE US!"
Our group meets the third monday of every month at the Jackson City Hall at 161 West Michigan Ave., 2nd Floor from 6:30PM-8:00PM
Our next meeting will be held on July 20th
JAYC BATTLE OF THE BANDS 2009
Last year, 2008, the Jackson Area Youth Council hosted a very successful battle of the bands. Since we had such a great time and have had many requests for another battle, as a group, we have decided to once again put on a JAYC Battle of the Bands!
This year's event wil be once again held at the Michigan Theater, and will be on June 27th. Only eight bands will be performing, so if you are interesting in participating in the J.A.Y.C. Battle of the Bands 2009, get in your application by the 24st of June because space is very limited, and for those bands who are participating, the band meeting will be held the day of the battle at the Michigsn Theater at two o'clock. We are so excited about this years event, and are anticipating an even bigger and better show! see you there!
