Youth Leadership in the Arts (YLA) is an after-school youth program that is based out of Casa Latina in Northampton MA. YLA is a youth activist group that has exsisted for over a decade. In this group youth of color from the surrounding area come together to tackle issues in our community. Such as racism, sexism, agism, and homophobia. YLA has a show on our local radio station Valley Free Radio (VFR) 103.3 every other Sarurday from 5:00 to 6:00 PM. YLA also airs and works out of Amherst Community Television (ACTV) where youth work together on various video projects.
