About me:
YPC is Chicago's newest youth center that serves those who are straight (allies), gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer or questioning. 79% are youth of color. It is located in HYDE PARK and holds events for youth 6 days a week! YPC holds a monthly youth party called "Curiosity" for those 23 and UNDER the last Friday of every month at 8pm. I have been very active in Domestic Violence causes all of my adult life. I noticed a need in the world pertaining to Same Sex Domestic Violence. It happens more than people know. Unfortunately there is a number of gay people who barely consider themselves worthy or valued as a gay person much less a Domestic Violence Victim. There are also very limited resources for Same Sex Domestic Violence. Hopefully through empowerment and education we can change some of this. :D

OMG we are SO EXCITED!
And we just can't hide it!
We've been working hard since February to make a difference in the community -- oh, and to serve up some good late-night pizza -- so imagine 10 crazy, mixed-bag pizza superstars jumping up and down like little Catholic white girls when we saw the nominations. We're up against two other AWESOME establishments: we eat at one all the time, and we actually have a pizza named after the other! But at the risk of sounding cliche, we're TRULY HONORED just to have been nominated.
