World Fair Trade Day is the world’s annual recognition of Fair Trade, celebrated on and around the second Saturday of May every year. This year’s theme: “Kids Need Fair Trade,” highlights the role that children play in Fair Trade. Fair Trade guarantees fair prices and community development and contributes to ending child labor and supporting education programs in rural areas around the globe.
Celebrate this year’s World Fair Trade Day by practicing conscious consumerism. “Look for the label” and buy Fair Trade Certified products! You can help spread the word about Fair Trade: nominate Fair Trade Certified, the official page of TransFair USA, for the MySpace Impact Awards!
