Q: How often do you play?
A: I will sit down and play almost every day, sometimes just for like 5 minutes, sometimes for hours. It took me a really long time to make that video perfectly, sometimes I would get through almost the entire song and mess up badly at the end. It took dozens of recordings even after months of practice, and I still hear that there are a couple mistakes in the finished product.
I am working on another video but it wont be ready for some time... hopefully it'll be done before 2008, I'm not going to tell you what song it is, but I will say that it will not be another remake of a classical song

I grew up in the small town of Fulton about 15 minutes from Lake Ontario. I screw around with the guitar just about every day and 5 days before Christmas (its a family tradition) I got to pick out one gift to open. I naturally chose the poorly wrapped one in the shape of an electric guitar and sure enough it was a sweet new shredding machine (black with golden plate) and a digital amp with a USB cable. I setup the camera and played a song that I had been working on for a Long time. It was a Speed Metal Version of "Canon in D" by Johann Pachelbel, and I was so exited that I posted it on youtube that very day. Around came new years and some friends and I where screwing around (HAKKA!!!) so I logged on to youtube to post the video (why not?). I was shocked to see how many veiws, favorites, and honors that I have received! Here it is more than a year later and my video is the 4th most veiwed and the most discussed! I was famous without a face, basically.
Alot of people ask me (through youtube text comments) if I am in a band... the answer is no. You see... the overall musical talent here in Fulton is not very high to begin with and in addition to that... I cant sing or write lyrics worth a crap. I just wasnt born a good singer... end of story. My lyrical inabilities can be explained through how hard it is for me to rhyme and be poetic at the same time. The Poetic part of lyrical work isnt the obstacle for me but rather it is producing a poetic piece and also having to implement a decent rhyming scheme.
Another reason I cant really be in a band is the fact that most songs rely on a simple guitar riff to carry throughout the song in leiu of a masterwork piece such as "Canon in D" (my medium of internet fame, if you will) by Johann Pachelbel. When I hold a guitar I know that I am weilding a tool that can potentially yeild immeasurable musical beauty and complexity, and to simplify that potential into something as rudimentary as a simple riff would kill me as a musician.
The only band that I could be in is an istrumental (meaning no lyrics) but somehow... I think such a band would mlack the popularity it would need in today's world.
It appears that I am stuck here in my bedroom by the computer, weaving each riff into the beautiful quilt that is a musical score.
