Derby’s You-V-Me immediately caught everyone napping (even the soundman who wasn’t quite ready!!) by launching into a fierce disjointed but utterly fantastic instrumental, before frontman Adam Slater strode coolly onto the stage to deliver some biting rhetoric.
Sounding like a cross between “Does It Offend You Yeah?” and New York’s “Radio 4”, You-V-Me are a brilliant indie-dance unit, highlights for me were definitely “Harpoon” and the new track “Wolf Cry”. Their set ended with a pile of bodies in the middle of the stage after a good-humoured spout of barging each other over during the frenetic ending to set closer “Poison In Hand”. Bio
The month of May 2008 saw the arrival of YOU-V-ME. It wasnt long before their clubnight Ladyflash became the most popular live music night in the area and played host to a number of the most exciting new bands from across the nation. The start of 2009 saw the band not only play alongside exciting names such as The Airborne Toxic Event, Filthy Dukes and Hatcham Social, but go into the studio to record their debut E.P. After a few months of solid shows, both locally and nationally, YOU-V-ME released their debut EP "Fear, Love and Excitement" through The Animal Farm on 24th July 2009, the same night which saw the band become the first unsigned act to sell out The Royal, Derbys premier music venue.
