Lequan Woods (aka “YQ”) was born and raised in the Bay Area, California. YQ knew at an early age that he had an exceptional ability to communicate and, had a lot he wanted to say. Encouraged by his family and influenced by the likes of The Notorious B.I.G and Fabolous, he began to put the pen to the paper at the age of 13. Over the years, he continued to write and began to work towards taking his music to the next step and becoming a professional artist. Within the first two years of his beginning, he had completed numerous, mixtapes and was also part of many rap groups from where he recorded most of his music. As he began to grow and improve, he began performing at events throughout the Bay Area. (talent shows, clubs, functions, contests etc...) Trust and believe that YQ is here.
