I'm a quiet person but confident in myself. I know what I like and what I don't, I know what I think and I'm happy to stand up and defend my views.
I've been a vegetarian for about 8 years now, and a vegan for 8 months or so. I'm very much against the idea of using animals for food, particularly with regards to the appalling standards of welfare we keep these poor animals in. If anyone agrees with me and wants to discuss any animal-related issues, please get in touch!
I'm a part of a local Southampton student animals rights group: Students Against Animal Cruelty (SAAC). We hold regular events and meetings, and it's always a lot of fun! I am also a volunteer school public speaker for Viva and Animal Aid.
I love photography; I live by my camera in the same way I live through my computer!
Horses are also a big part of my life. I've been riding almost as long as I can remember and I'm not sure what I'd do if I couldn't ride! Anyone who's spent a lot of time around horses will know what I mean. I'll reference the phrase, "Show me someone who doesn't like horses, and I'll show you someone who can't ride!"
I'll try almost anything at least once, and I pride myself on having an open mind, being independent and thinking outside the box.
Something else I should probably mention; I love Sci-Fi! I'm a huge fan of Stargate, and I watch a lot of other shows, such as X-Files, Buffy, Doctor Who, Torchwood, Smallville and many others. I also sometimes go to conventions, so if anyone reading this also goes to conventions in the UK and would like to have a chat, I'd love that!
