My painting, LAST TANGO, was accepted by the OCCCA (Orange County Center for Contemporary Art) for the ANIMAL MAGNETISM show in September! I was one of 55 artists accepted out of more than 220 artists who entered this competition with more than 590 pieces of work.
I'm honored and excited to be part of ANIMAL MAGNETISM, which will be my first show of 2008! Mat Gleason, editor and publisher of Coagula Art Magazine, is the juror for the show. Gleason has been praised by the British critic, Julian Stallabrass, in his book, Art Incorporated, The Story of Contemporary Art, who said "Mat Gleason has a keen eye for quality and authenticity, ferocious wit and an intimate knowledge of the jungle."
The show runs Sept. 4 to 27, and the opening reception is Sept. 6 from 6 to 10 p.m.
More information about the show, 55 winning artists, gallery address and directions, is at www.occca.org.

My art comes from experience in life's difficulties and joys. It is textured by dreams, fantasy and imagination, and it is influenced by people that I meet from diverse cultures.
"Insect Series," my current work, developed out of a fascination with the wonder and beauty of nature, combined with my LOVE of music and film.
, I have friends in random so it changes constantly. Everyone deserves a 15 minutes of fame...
