Yuppies bar is Dundee's only dedicated fun pub, open 7 nights a week.
No attitude or posers exisits here.. just friendliness, where you can sit and enjoy your drink and be as you are. A big favourite with the students midweek.
We do not serve food, and are open from 4pm til midnight unless there are special nights of the year, when we change opening times.
Throughout the week we have many drink offers ensuring that every night is a party. As for weekends, it is advisable to come early due to the queues that form around 11pm.
We will be starting to put on live bands every Thursday from in and around the Tayside area aswell as bringing in bands from all around Scotland.
Each Thursday will consist of a bill of 3 to 4 bands and entry to Yuppies will be free with special drinks promotions etc.
If you are interested in playing one of the nights just send us a message and we would be more than happy to do our best to arrange something for you.
The 200th concert review has just been posted on the Dead Earnest website (www.deadearnest.btinternet.co.uk/Dundee.htm). I'd just like to thank all the bands, musicians, venue owners, promotors and fans who've been so generous this last 12 months and had so many kind things to say, that, without all of you who I've seen many times to those having a bit of a hiatus, none of what I do would be possible and that, in my opinion, the Dundee Scene remains as the most accomplished, enjoyable and potentially commercial music scene in the UK right now. To all of you who I won't get to see tonight, who may read this now, who may read this nursing one helluva hangover in the morning, thanks for producing/featuring all the amazing music in 2007 and a heartfelt and seriously Happy New Year to all of you - may 2008 take you further up the ladder of success!!
The Fusiliers are ScotCampus Musicians of the Month! Come and have a listen to the songs on our profile to find out why.
“Powerpop indie is how they dub themselves, but there are so many influences filtering in here, it's difficult to pinpoint their sound exactly. Post-punk with an energetic twist and a knack for a melody. Theirs is a sound which is trying to resolve the conflict between the obscure and the commercial, and it's a musical tightrope they tread well. Check out 'The Way' and 'Beauty And The Grace' on their MySpace for a taste.”

But this is to let you know that we are opening the site to anyone with anything to review – bands can contribute interview-style articles, biogs, etc, fans can review concerts and contribute constructive articles/comments, promoters and venue owners and bar-staff with something to say can feel free to comment – just head to www.deadearnest.btinternet.co.uk/introdundee and you'll see where to go and what you can do. Look forward to hearing from anyone out there!!
