This multi-talented artist not only sings and performs, but also writes her own lyrics and contributes to making her own tracks. She describes her song lyrics as sophisticated and sharp, which is a reflection of her own unique style. And dont be fooled by the small package, this 4'9" pocket rocket has been making alot of noise in the Tokyo street scene as one of the next up and coming artists. She has collaborated with numerous renowned artists, and has been featured on their tracks, bringing a fresh and original style. The style which has come to be known as Yuuki Flava.
Since her childhood, Yuuki had familiarized herself with
various genres of music. But it was urban music which
especially caught her attention. And to this day, remains a strong influence in her own works.
In 1999, inspired by her love for music, Yuuki began to
compose her own lyrics. It was in her hometown of
Toyama-prefecture, Japan, where she debuted her skills as a singer, performing in front of the local crowd at some of the hottest clubs and events. It was not long after that, in 2002, when she decided to explore deeper into the roots of urban music and headed to Los Angeles.
Upon Yuuki's return to Japan in 2003, she decided to set her base in Tokyo. She began to perform at several major clubs, as well as music lounges across the country, while at the same time keeping very busy with regularly scheduled events with multiple clubs throughout the month. She fulfilled contracts with several music lounges, performing as the featured singer almost every night.
Yuuki is presently active in the Tokyo area.
