Yve & Devora are truly star-crossed. While one was lying on her back in humid Texan weather, the other was glaring up at the sky deep in the Norfolk country. Both girls have always had a dream of performing, as their paths that led up to their crucial meeting is evident in their music.
................Devora, meaning honeybee in Hebrew, was born in Santiago, Chile and moved to Texas at a young age to join more of her family. But her roots are much more diverse and lie in the depths of England (Manchester to be exact), Germany, Hungary and Turkey. Yvette (Life) was born and raised in the charming greenery of West Norfolk with Scottish, Irish and European roots.
................Both women had their fair share of childhood experience in the arts.. However, both women were not prepared for the journey - they have now embarked on - when they met two and half years ago by chance at the London Music School. A setting for the building of strong relationships with musicians like Martin & Kevin Keating, sons of composer and arranger John Keating.
................When the intuitive souls met it was instant magic with a strong love of harmonies and soulful melodies. They started singing every week together at their school’s gig nights and soon a beautiful partnership flourished.
................Now after a year of gigging as YveDevora, they have flowered with a fresh sound of funky acoustic folk rock fusion, including folk Ballad. An amazing addition to the band is John, who plays fiddle with furiously adept zest! Continuing to write new material with patience & perseverance, they welcome your listening ears as this talented bunch will not go amiss!
................CONNECTIONS!!!
We encourage talented instrumentalists to get in touch to expand our sound... Our approach is all about connecting, collaborating, & exploring creative boundaries and sharing beautiful music with like minded fellow. We re-iterate that we work hard, play hard and make music our lives. If you are that too please get in touch!!
