Television
Im a sci-fi nut Ill watch any interest... + 24 heroes lost in smallville's history channel.
D'you have a spatula? lift his head please b'cuz I think it might be leaking old useless brain fuel all over the art table. Get used to instead being shot in the ears whenever your eyes are glued to youtube before its taken down for good. Better this than TV because when they advertise about having you watch programs theyre really referring to how theyve "set" us. No i mean it, loosen that dead grip on the remote and wake up!
Books
I used to read a lot but now I can only read lines.>_<
About me: I find inspiration in art for life too meaningful to forget since I feel it manifests out of the makeup of ones total sum of experiences, dreams and the openness of the mind from your spirit and consciousness. Intention, will, dimension, determination curiosity and memory forms true fascination for creativity. That is when you pull vision from the eyes of your heart. As I continue, the rest of the mundane world is surface and readily available from perspective, awareness and akin to the big picture called our environment. It happened as a child with comic book imagery, fantasy, animation, toys, films, painting, anime, sculpture, games, music, family and friends. As an adult developing a 3rd eye refitting the aware consciousness, examine photography, architecture, politics, sex, divinity, death, fundamentalisms, wisdom, pain, culture, desire, fears, expectations, history, idealism, theology, etc, etc etc... and of course more and more people. Take a clue from what is and what isnt so if youre missing some these days, inspiration is totally free and need not be objective.
If you care to look back my artwork has appeared in dozens comics for well over 10 years. Warming up back in 1992 at the golden age of 19 starting with Valiant Comics. At that time Id been sprouting other artistic braincells attending art college at Pratt in Brooklyn. Past and present projects saw the work progress through experimentation and exploration through whatever raw ability or influences I came in with. So Ive done some time with the different companies such as Valiant, Marvel, DC, Darkhorse, Penthouse Comix, Mythic and First Salvo to name a few. I feel you can always endure the biz if you try to reinvent yourself when things get old or uninteresting. If you have a somewhat eclectic taste in general (like I do) it can become easy to put focus on lot of different things. Good or bad, ugly or gorgeous the things that become more of an interest to your person because it helps you understand the makeup what it means to bring forth a sense of self creativity through general knowledge of nature and the "real" world. Focus is melding with intent and concentration, If you want to draw or paint you need this and if you are familiar with patience and discipline you already have the tools to begin working in this industry if not your own business of creativity as you see fit.
