My journey as a singer began when I was 8 years old, when I started vocal training in Tampa, Florida. As a child I was singing and dancing in performing arts groups such as Project Entertainment, The Elite, and Entertainment Revue. I had the opportunity to do high-profile shows such as the Democratic Convention for Clinton/Gore,
singing the National Anthem for the Tampa Devil Rays, the Broadway tour of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat", The Busch Gardens summer show, and many more great shows and musicals. I have also won the "Disney's Dreamers and Doers award", and the Songwriting Competition at the Berklee College of Music.
I continued my training at the Berklee College of Music where I got my degree in Songwriting, and Music Business. I credit the school and my teachers there with transforming me from a singer into a musician. Once I graduated, I moved to NYC where I linked up with record producer Tony Woodroffe to write and record my debut album
" the Art of Attraction". "The Art of Attraction" will be released and available for purchase in May 2008. The themed album is based on the astrological signs and how they influence love and day-to -day relationships. Astrology is based on the interconnectedness of human beings and the universe; therefore, the energy of the universe can influence whom, why, and how we love. The album is dedicated to to this interconnectedness, and my understanding of which stems from my own experiences and research, as each individual's life experiences are unique. Each song is dedicated both to an astrological sign and to my experiences with the people closest to me. Tony Woodroffe and I wanted to make an album that was unique, and really had something to say, and I believe we achieved this aspiration. Hope you enjoy! And a special thanks to all who supported and contributed to the making of this album. xoxoxoxoxo
