This is really reaching back but they influenced me just the same: Judy Garland, Liza Minelli, the Carpenters, Barbara Mandrell, Loretta Lynn, Barbara Streisand, John Denver, Barry Manilow, the Osmonds. The many musicals I've seen and performed in. My voice teacher, William Harder. More currently, Amy Grant, Sandi Patty, Twila Paris, worship leaders Charlie & Jill LeBlanc, Jacque DeShetler, Darlene Zschech, Miriam Webster, Israel Houghton, Shaun Williams, Stephen Hurd, Ricardo Sanchez.
According to her mother, Yvonne was singing before she talked. By three years old she was singing complete songs, mostly ones she had heard in church. Yvonne's first time singing in church was at five years old. Feeling her daughter was destined to sing for the Lord, her mother started her in voice and music lessons which continued through Yvonne's highschool years. Yvonne continued singing in church and many school programs until graduating. During this time, she also made Jesus Christ her Lord and Savior.
A few years later, while attending Life Christian Bible College in St. Louis, MO, Yvonne was introduced to contemporary praise and worship and began leading worship for small groups in her church. This led to her leading worship for groups ranging from children through seniors and also larger church settings.
She currently leads praise and worship for many functions and travels around the country ministering in music at local churches and at worship events. She has shared worship in Israel during two seperate trips there and is planning a Worship Tour in Israel in the future. Yvonne has been writing praise and worship songs for over twenty years, many of which are being sung in churches in the US and the countries of Kenya, Uganda, Israel, Jamaica, Mexico, and Jordan.
Yvonne's heart desire is to lead people into the manifest presence of God and to share His love through music with as many people as possible. She attends New Testament Fellowship Church in Alton, IL.

A very happy Monday to you I hope your weekend was as wondeful Ours was beyond wonderful. Nick and the lil ones made it to their homes without any trouble. Jerry and I have a GREAT weekend and he left for 3 days Sunday morning (work related, in AZ) and then Nick and Emma made it safe back here last night for the work week. BUT Saturday oh ya Saturday you will never guess. :) :) :) was so so so God..... I have a brother David that we have been praying for for 20+ years. I was the last one to see him and that was 12 years ago everyone else 20 +. Well anyway he had called mom several times in the past few months but showed up at my mom's for breakfast Yep breakfast on Saturday morning. Such a sweet reunion. No he is not a christian yet, but he has now seen my mom who is 81 for the first time in 20 + years. Oh I just can not explain the joy. I JUST LOVE THIS TIME OF YEAR Even though it is cold and sometimes wet and I mean real wet I love the rich colors and the smell of wood stoves and all the sweet smells of goodies cooking. Thanksgiving is my fav holiday, I guess it's because I have so very much to be thankful for. Oh I could just ramble on this morning.
