Yvonne was raised in Denver, Colorado by her father who was a Jazz musician. She dropped out of school and started supporting herself at age 15. Working odd jobs to pay the bills, she spent her free time singing and writing music. Yvonne formed a Swing Band at age 18, and eventually performed original music in the Denver music scene. Her local success opened doors for her to perform as an opening act for artists such as BB King, and James Brown. In 2002, she moved to Los Angeles to work on music for an indie film. Other opportunities came and went, but none of them brought the success that was promised. At age 23, Yvonne found herself broken, and with no place to go. In 2003 Yvonne was arrested by the love and power of Jesus and has been pursuing Him ever since. She writes songs of hope and healing to reach other people like herself, who are lost and hurting.
