Jason Ywahu has been playing music since the age of 6 and was brought up surrounded by music. He started playing the drums at age 11, training under drummer Phil Salah in Boston, and later with Vinny Damaio in New Hampshire. Jason joined the band Centre Of Gravity and toured throughout the New England and surrounding area, while earning his degree in Recording Arts at The New England Institute of Art.

In 2005, Jason moved to Los Angeles to pursue his career as a musician and a sound engineer. Soon after, Jason joined the nationally touring band, Battle Alaska. After Battle Alaska disbanded in 2008, Jason joined his current bands Live Last and Fairlene, both based in the Los Angeles area. Jason has toured throughout the United States and Canada, playing hundreds of venues and festivals including: SXSW Music Festival in Austin, TX, CBGB’s in New York, NY, House Of Blues in Anaheim, CA, The Martini Ranch in Scottsdale, AZ, The Middle East in Boston, MA, The Caterie in Baton Rouge, LA, and The Troubadour, The Roxy, The Avalon, The Viper Room, and The Key Club in Los Angeles, CA.
