About me: We are a missionary organization that is affiliated with (YWAM) Youth with A Mission. Check out our website at www.ywamcimarron.org. YWAM Cimarron is located in the San Juan mountains of SW Colorado at an elevation of 8600 feet. Our basic purpose is to glorify our heavenly father by spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ to the nations of the world and nearby communities. We offer a Discipleship Training School (DTS) that is divided into two phases. The school phase (app. 3 months) is designed to get you fired up for what is on God's heart! Missions! Also to seek and know GOD and make HIM known! Then you practice what you have trained for and go on a mission trip for about the same amount of time which is the outreach phase. We also offer an abbreviated version of DTS to high school and middle school students called an SST. They train and then go on a short mission trip to a nearby Native American Reservation. The SST lasts about 3 weeks. Hopefully, by the end of DTS or SST God will reveal to you missions is not a special calling, but what our lives should be about. As Christ followers we are to share with the world the Gospel whether that is in a foreign country or in your own community, job, etc.....
Who I'd like to meet: We would like to meet:
1. People interested or feeling called into missions!
2. People that have graduated high school or college and really don't have a clue what they are "supposed" to do for God!
3. People that have jobs and are sensing that their life needs to change!
4. People wanting to develop their relationship with Christ!
5. People that don't fit into these categories!
Hey, i just put in the application today. How long before i know if i am accepted or not? And do u think it would be a wise idea to start sending suppot letters for money and prayer?
Sorry, one more question.. I was looking on your home web page and i didn't see a time for a DTS this fall. When is the next DTS? Is there on in the fall?

I have been praying about it.. This is something that i really feel that God has called me to do. I have talked with my parents about it and they have agreed to let me go. I downloaded the application of the website and have started filling it out. Are there still open spots for the DTS in this coming September?

well yeah that sounds good but I was more looking into doing a DTS but I know you have to be 18 or have finished grade 12 but I really want to do it, I don't know if thats possible but i guess if its God than anything is possible. yeah I have not finished grade 12 and am not 18 lol so yeah lol god bless and guide Andrew
That sounds exciting. Generally, how big are teams that you get for the school? Do you divide the students up to do the DTSs or do they all go together?
lol, I'm glad you remembered us. Well, i know that for the first three months you do training and then the next three months you do outreach. What exactly does the training consist of? Do we have a teacher that teaches us or is it something we do on our own?
I don't know if you would remember, but I came with my youth group from El Paso, TX. We were doing a bike ride fundraiser for some missionaries in Turkey. We stayed at your base for two nights.
