Indeed it was confusing as hell. I've seen only about 18 episodes of Dragonball, a handful of episodes from DBZ, and only a few from DBZ GT. I would have to say that a Dragonball fanfic made into a movie would be better to see then DBE. At least the people who write the fanfics know what the hell Dragonball is.
