Who is Zabrick?
Christopher Reid was born on May 9, 1981 in the parish of Portland, in the cool community of Orange Bay district. He is the eldest of five children for his parents. While attending the Titchfield High School, Christopher got his motivation from being in the group "Mad Squad", a crowd pleaser at the time. In later years, (1998) he placed as a well deserved top five finalist in the Portmore Star Search. Remembered by many as the energy provider in the hot dancehall group "Islanders", the now solo artiste in today "ZABRICK".
Zabrick represents the refreshing evolutionary sound of Jamaica modern dancehall sound waves. Equipped with lyrical tenacity and artisitc versatility he is easily dubbed the risen sensation.
A humble and devoted musician Christopher "Zabrick" Reid has held on to his mission of being a global entertainer. To date, the artiste is still journeying, as the Portland native has carried the musical mantle to the present time in a "must hear, have to see manner". known for his crowd appeal and solid rhymes, this young Jamaican has used music as a shared source of upliftment for the depressed and downtrodden people.
Having absorbed the trends set from the pioneers: Peter Tosh, Bob Marley, Terror Fabulous, Buju Banton and the Grammy kid Shabb Ranks, Zabrick decked with his own unique sound and delivery has served sensational in his debut. Skilled in the art of sound engineering, Zabrick has dabbled in several facets of the music business not solely his sound but his face has been broadcasted in Gyptian's "Serious Times" and Junior Gong's "Move", as well as in his own video done for the single "Bam".
Being a lover of the hardcore dancehall space does not takew away form his versatility as the dj enjoys the one drop culture sound and welcomes differing beats from across the genre.
A man from the roots, a man of the peoople and definately an artiste for the masses, meet and get used to the youthful yet firm Zabrick.
