RECENT REVIEW - from CDBABY.COM 5 stars/5 I hate country music...but I LOVE THIS! author: Chris I'm not a fan of country music, but I absolutely love this disc. This is the best album I own. This CD should be available worldwide in my opinion. Anyone passing on this album is a fool...I have started to like country since I have listened to this. I may have to order another copy because I have played this so much that the disc might just explode. You can't go wrong with these guys.

MUSIC STREET JOURNAL
It may sound clichéd but booze and country music go hand in hand. There is nothing quite like the twang of a Tele and the mournful wail of lap steel washed down with beer, whiskey and red wine (notice I said “and” not “or”). The new album from Zachariah and the Lobos Riders, appropriately titled Alcoholiday, is quite literally drenched in the Devil’s tears. If your drinkin’ buddy ever stands you up one night, these outlaws will be right there to help you drown your sorrows.
If you are young enough to not have known the 70’s Outlaw Country Movement, or if you are a fan looking for something new in the genre, then this disc will give you a boot inside the Outlaw revival currently underway. Zachariah and the Lobos Riders are no newcomers to the music scene. Alcoholiday is their second full length release and the third if you count their country/hip hop fusion soundtrack for the cult film “Dead and Breakfast” which also featured singer Zach Selwyn in a key role.
The sound is decidedly old-school 70’s Outlaw, with appropriate twang from the strings and the vocal chords and enough songs about booze to make this album a candidate for an intervention. And in keeping with the Outlaw spirit, there are a few genre bending surprises here for the adventurous listener, from a country rap to a live cover retooling of a hip-hop classic. Don’t let that scare you off. First and foremost Z and the Riders are all about the Outlaw sound and not overproduced crossover Nashville country. By and large, this is a great album to help induce or even chase away a hangover.

Formed in Los Angeles in 2002, ZACHARIAH AND THE LOBOS RIDERS have rapidly become Los Angeles cult favorites with their unique style of country, hip-hop and rock and roll. The band has been featured in the comedy-zombie flick "DEAD AND BREAKFAST" and lead singer Zach Selwyn has written songs for numerous television shows, films and was the runner-up on ESPN's TV show "Dream Job" in 2004. He currently hosts the wildly popular "Attack of the SHow!" on G4 and the band appeared on the program in July, 2006. From Tucson, Arizona, Zachariah was originally signed as a pure funny white-boy hip-hop act in 2000 and recorded songs with people like FERGIE from "Black Eyed Peas." Their first release, 2003's GHOST SIGNS has been reviewed internationally. "Dead and Breakfast" has sold over 10,000 dvds and 1000 cds worldwide and their next release "ALCOHOLIDAY" is currently in production in Los Angeles.

Just got Alcoholiday in the mail today, and I've had it playing non-stop for a couple hours. Great stuff!

I'm usually not one for much country, but I love this album.

Love & Peace,

dude...great show last night.

I had so much fun spinning and dancing...thank you!! That was the best "Spare Change" ever. You played it different, loved it. The rhythm you used seemed like a cross of funk & reggae...not sure now but damn it was fun. How many times have I seen you play that song...maybe 15 times and that shit was boogie good.

circular motion always my brother
